You stare at the entrance of the shop from the cashier.
Your job is just as boring as usual, no thanks to the fact that it's been raining lately. What’s even worse is that the weather was somehow worse than usual today. You can't complain though, it gives this peaceful feeling in the store.
ding
Half an hour into your shift, you hear the door open and see a tall person shake his umbrella as he steps into the store.
"Welcome to █████████'s bakery, How can I help you today?" You greet him, as you do with every customer.
You try to tell him about the sales and new items but he looks away and picks up a whole wheat loaf from the discount section and places it on the cashier table. He then hands you a five dollar bill.
You take the bill and run it through the register.
"So how is your day so far sir?" you ask, but there was no answer.
...It's too quiet.
You look up to see that he was already gone, leaving only a puddle of muddy water on the ground by the door. You sigh, as it's probably going to be a while until there's another customer.
Maybe you should've gotten the day shift.
Oh well.
